Max is 14 months old today! He has turned into a very fast walker. He charges along the sidewalk on the way to the park or Miles' school and he is so excited about his independence (although cutely, he is willing to hold our hand - Miles refused as a toddler). When he sees dogs, he shouts "ga, ga, ga!" and goes toward them. He likes climbing onto my lap to read books. After bedtime books, he climbs onto his diaper pad and lays down (b/c that's where we get his PJ's and fresh diaper on). Lately he has been playing with a laptop, large knob puzzles, and nesting cups. He also likes zooming his cars along the floor - and actually throws them sometimes, too. He loves walking down the stairs (we insist he holds our hands). He has discovered his little boy parts and grabs them and giggles at every diaper change! He is still an avid eater and drops everything to come over when someone is eating. He is a big talker and does lots of babbling. His cutest word is "Uh-oh!" which he uses correctly when he drops something, etc.
Miles impetigo is better. His energy returned after 1 dose of the antiobiotic and he was happily back in school after missing one day. His classmate's mom commented about Miles' 1-day absence, "Miles is very popular. School was only half as fun without him!" He has been taking his yucky medication like a champ.
Our friends, Mike and Emily in KS set their wedding date for Nov 15 and we are excited about traveling to KS to share in their special day and visit with friends!
Dr. Mommy got a new job! After many years of working, my first "real" job finally: a tenure-track, faculty position in the psychology department at California State University, San Marcos! It starts in August. I'm really excited that my first official master's student accepted the admission offer and will be coming to work with me in the fall.
Sad News:
We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Ron's dad, Steve, to pancreatic cancer. He are heartbroken over the loss of this beautiful man. We are happy to know that he lives on through our sons, Miles and Max. It also brings us comfort to know how much pride and joy we brought him. We will be traveling to Tulare on Sunday and going to the funeral on Monday morning. Miles, Max, and I will stay at the house during the funeral and we will join up with others for lunch at the church afterward.
In loving memory of Stephen Matthew Pulvers
