Max's First Haircut and other News

Here is Max's "before" photo

He did very well during the haircut. But was eager to get down by the end.

Here is the back. When it is sweaty/wet, it gets even curlier now.

Miles appeases me with a couple of poses. He got his hair cut today, too!

Miles does his Hulk impression

Other news: Max gashed his his toe on the bottom of the closet door while we were playing on Th night. I took him to the ER and they glued it. I feel so bad for him with this injury, although it hasn't slowed him down. He is his chipper self and has said a few new things. He has begun saying "Hello!" Today when taking photo of him and Miles I said "say cheese!" and Max surprised me by saying "cheese!" He says clap, clap, clap (or maybe it's clip clop clip clop from a book). When I say, boom boom baby baby boom boom, he repeats it. From his Brown Bear book, he loves the teacher and says "teacher." He taps pictures of drums in books and says boom boom boom. Seems like he is trying to say "Miles."

Cutie Pie

Max and Miles think their daddy is so great that Max broke out his Father's Day shirt early

Max thinks he's big stuff now that he can climb onto (some) of the furniture

and take his shoes off

Look at those curls

Max is ready to go every day!

Max can often be found bringing us a book to read.

Boys will be boys

Hmmm...maybe I should try the "light" yogurt. My pants are kind of tight.

More boys will be boys

Here's our video game king. He is getting good at it.

Miles in repose.

Miles and I went to the pool on Sunday and into the jacuzzi to warm up afterward. He struck up a conversation with me asking "So how's work been?" He proceeded to listen and ask meaningful follow-up questions! He did the same thing when Ron took him for ice-cream the other day, asking "How is soccer coaching going?" Today at school his teacher told me they would be having a wedding for Miles and Robin, a cute classmate he said he wanted to marry. I asked what he liked about her and he said "She's my friend! She'll come to my house and live there all the time." He said, "Robin lives here and was born in China and I was born in Kansas." Sounds like they had the getting to know you conversation. After school he invited Robin to see his carseat and she told him it was cool.

Max's newest word is "Hi." He uses it with discrimination, usually says it first time he sees us.
