How big is Max? So big!
Hmmm, what's this?
Finally, a cheeseburger!
Our special boy is 11 months old today! Highlights from this past month include starting to walk holding onto our hands and using his firetruck for support. He walks all over the house pushing his firetruck. He can stand unsupported and he has taken 1-2 steps when he's not over-thinking it. More often, he realizes he is standing, thinks about walking, giggles, and sits down to crawl. Max's top 2 central teeth are coming through, he still has just 1 on the bottom. He continues to enjoy eating, he prefers when he can hold onto a larger piece of food than have it in small pieces. For example, when I was pulling off bite-size pieces of bread, he grabbed the whole slice from my hand. He manages it pretty well, he doesn't try to cram the whole thing in his mouth, so this is OK as long as monitored closely. He has continued to be a really solid sleeper, going to bed around 7PM and sleeping straight through until about 7AM, soothing himself during his brief awakenings with his cuddle blanket and his binky. We keep at least 3 binkies in his crib so he can always find one! Lately he has been having fun playing ball and cars. He throws a ball and chases it, picks it back up, throws and chases again. The cars he pushes around on the floor. He is getting into trying to stack his mega blocks. He loves trying to pet and cuddle Griffin, the furrier of the 2 cats. He has fun playing at the park and is interested in other children. He is a bit more reserved with adults. He smiles at people but gets shy when they come close and want to hold him. It takes him a few minutes to become accustomed to a new person or situation. He is pretty vocal and it seems like he is trying to say things, like banana and that. He uses the "g," "n," and "p" sounds more now. "G" was Miles' main sound as an infant, whereas Max's main sounds have been "d" and "b." He shakes his head no, like when he makes a dash when the gate is open and we are coming after him, he shakes his head no. He likes to "share" his binky and bottle with us, trying to put them into our mouth. And he enjoys putting food in our mouth. He is a generous, sweet, cuddly little boy!
