Thanksgiving 2006

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving in Torrance with Ron's family. Miles had a great time visiting with everyone and especially enjoyed the company of his 15- and 11-year old step-cousins, Mark and Brad, from Seattle. We spent part of the day after Thanksgiving with the Webber family and Miles loved his time playing with Brick. Miles heard his dad say Holy Sh*t watching football last week, and with a room full of people watching football on Thanksgiving Day, Miles announced Holy Sh*t and kept repeating it. We clarified that what he meant was Holy Ship but other than
that we ignored it.

6 Months Pregnant

Still feeling good. Getting harder to sleep and get around, but overall doing great. I am glad that my class is almost over now that I'm entering my third trimester, though, b/c it's getting hard to stand up there and talk for 3 hours.

In & Out

Miles enjoyed his family meal (especially the chocolate shake) with Grandma & Grandpa.

A Local Park

This is the park by our house that we frequent. We call it "sugar cookie park."

Miles & Spiderman

Miles met one of his superhero idols at the local In and Out. Spidey was on his way to a Halloween party, but we didn't tell Miles that :)

At the Steam Engine Festival

October Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Mann spent a week with us during Halloween. In addition to trick or treating, we went to a Steam Engine Festival where we saw old time vehicles and the San Diego Zoo. Miles' favorite exhibit at the zoo was the Reptile House. Unfortunately, the zoo trip ended with a massive tantrum complete with crying, hitting, kicking, screaming, and spitting.

Miles' Halloween

Miles had a great Halloween this year! It is his favorite holiday so far. He asked us if it was Halloween yet for a month before the big day, and when it arrived he enjoyed a class party and trick or treating afterwards. He had a blast running from house to house and he was a big hit in his pirate costume! He decided to leave his sword at home in favor of his trick or treat bag.
