Miles' progress report at school had noted that he didn't like using the kids' bathroom and they had to sometimes accommodate him in the teachers' bathroom. So we ask Miles if he goes poop at school. Lately he's been saying yes and when we ask where, he says the outside bathroom (there are a few kids' bathrooms, one adjacent to the outdoor play area). Today we asked him why he likes that bathroom, and he said because it's more "lonely" (i.e., private)!
At the Hunts on Easter, one of Miles' younger classmates, Sarah, was there. Miles and Sarah hit it off. Despite being the only boy and the oldest kid, Miles had those girls in their pretty Easter dresses playing bad guys and aliens with him. Ron said that at school the next day, Sarah "lit up like a light bulb" when she saw Miles and watched him for a while. Miles didn't see her.
Also, this week Miles began getting dressed completely on his own, without prompting. This began on the day after Easter. We think he was excited about the prospect of having Easter candy in his lunch. He came bounding into our room at 6:45 AM completely dressed! And with a very well put-together outfit. He proceeded to do this every day this week - and he hasn't failed to put together a great ensemble!
